Absolutely stunning rare early antique French lithograph “Laughing Cow” French Advertising Poster by Benjamin Rabier. (1864-1939). The Artist was a renowned illustrator/poster designer, cartoonist and pioneer of animated films before Walt Disney. Rabier was also the creator of Gedeon the Duck and the now famous all over the world advertisement of “The Laughing Cow”. This early original lithographic poster, with marque déposée/trademark was the first advertisement for producer Fromageries Bel. Fabulous colours and subject, all original (not a later copy) with artist’s signature/name and original Chavane Paris 12, Av de la Grande Armée printworks factory labelling from 1930. Just under 6ft in size this exceptional lithograph has been reframed in museum quality glass and surround/frame.
