A beautiful antique lace needlepoint sampler map of England and Wales by Ann Hampson aged 10 dated 1837.

In the original gilt & gesso frame this is a stunning piece of history and a rare survivor all original child’s needlepoint sampler map of England and Wales. Depicts the counties and seas including German Sea (this was changed after the war) St George’s Channel, Ireland, France and unusually a scale level embroidered to lower part. Decorative banded border. A beautiful period piece and a unique addition to an embroidery sampler collector or even map collection. Highly decorative a great piece of art that will inject style into any setting.
